Foxglove and Bumble Bees

The colorful Foxglove plant is flourishing now in the shady moist areas in the Pacific Northwest. Here is some trivia on the plant..."Foxglove plants are tall, slender perennials at 2-5' in height and just 1-2' wide. Numerous tubular flowers bloom on a spike, ranging in color from purple to white". More importantly, Bumble Bees love these plants! Here are some shots from yesterday and today from Spadonoi Hill in Gig Harbor.

Enjoy!
