It’s beginning to feel a lot like ….

SUMMER I am not sure if there is any place much better than Gig Harbor in the summer. Yesterday evening we had the high school youth group and leaders over for a time of fun in the sun, hanging out, swimming and dinner. What an amazing group of young adults and leaders!

Here are some shots from the evening…

Memorial Day 2009

Cindi and I are fortunate enough to know a real family of hero’s. Their names are: Michael, Carol, Oaken, Eli, Stephen, Sandy and Forrest..

Please read this article that came out yesterday about their family in the Tacoma News Tribune. It is a story that should make us all very thankful for the brave men, women and families of our armed forces.

Blast from the past

The San Francisco Giant are in town this weekend for a three game series with the Mariners. We went to the first game on Friday night and saw the M’s win in 12 innings (even though we headed home in the 11th inning).

The two players I really wanted to see were some “old time” Mariners. Randy Johnson and Ken Griffey Jr.. It was really fun watching them play again. I only wish my son Matt could have been with me so we could reminisce about when we watched them in the Kingdome back in the 1990’s…

Here are some shots...

Maui Goodbye

Well, all good things must come to an end…and that good thing was called vacation with friends in Hawaii. We had a great time of R&R (as demonstrated by this first picture). The other pictures are just some shots of the beautiful scenery on the Island of Maui…

I will soon be back to taking shots of the beautiful Pacific Northwest (AKA God’s country)

Pounding at Big Beach

We went to Big Beach yesterday for a little snorkeling. Once we saw the huge waves we dediced to “body surf” instead. We got POUNDED. Sand was (and still is) coming out of places it shouldn’t be. After a couple of hours we limped back home for some Advil Blizzards…

Enjoy!

True Love (and birds of Maui)

We went a little Southwest of Gig Harbor to the great state of Hawaii for a little R&R. Cindi and I are celebrating our 25th anniversary (actual date August 18th) with some great friends of ours on the Island of Maui. Who would of imagined that 25 years earlier this young 20 year old bagging groceries at Lucky Grocery store in Davis California and a much older 21 year old girl named Cindi Wardelman would still be married 25 years later! It is definitaley a “God thing”. Jesus has been so gracious to us and we honestly love each other more today than we did back in 1984!
Ok, getting back to pictures….The bird population here is amazing. Here are some shots from the first day…
