Abstract pictures

I decided to change things up a little yesterday while taking my Saturday morning pictures. There is a technique I call “painting” that can create some pretty cool shots. They key is setting your camera to a slow shutter speed (1/8, ½, second, etc.) and moving the camera in a vertical motion while taking the picture. Here are a few examples… (The one of Cindi and George was taken with a slow shutter speed while zooming the telephoto lens)..
Enjoy!

The Red Barn

Our son is getting married this summer in a barn in Chehalis, Washington. We were a little surprised when he and his fiancĂ© first told of us their decision…. We visited the “barn” this past Friday and quickly realized why they chose this venue. This former Gothic dairy barn was barn was built in 1937 and was converted for weddings and social gatherings by the owners Jason and Laurie Dix . It is located on 25 acres of rolling grass along the Chehalis River…. What and amazing place! http://redbarnstudios.net/

Here are some shots from the other day.

Enjoy!
