Taken this morning (1/1/2010) at 12:35AM. Blue moons occur about once every two and a half years, which is the origin of the saying "once in a blue moon."
I just read somewhere else that today's date is a palindrome; 01022010 is spelled the same either way. With a rare blue moon one day, followed by a palindrome date the next, so far 2010 must be something special.
